US Airways Group pax numbers up 2% in Dec-2011; PRASM growth of 11%

US Airways Group reports (05-Jan-2012) the following consolidated traffic highlights:

  • Dec-2011:
    • Passenger numbers: 5.0 million, +2.0% year-on-year;
    • Passenger load factor: 81.4%, +1.0 pts
      • Domestic: 82.7%, +1.4 ppts;
      • Europe: 75.7%, +0.1 ppt;
      • Latin America: 80.2%, -0.1 ppt;
  • 12 months ended Dec-2011:
    • Passenger numbers: 60.9 million, +1.7%;
      • Domestic: 54.6 million, +1.9%;
      • Europe: 2.7 million, +7.4%;
      • Latin America: 3.6 million, -4.5%;
    • Passenger load factor: 83.3%, +1.4 ppts;
      • Domestic: 84.2%, +1.6 ppts;
      • Europe: 80.2%, -0.4 ppt;
