Turkish Airlines expects 30 million and USD6bn in revenue in 2010

Turkish Airlines CEO Temel Kotil stated the carrier expects to reach 30 million passengers by the end of 2010, up from 24 million in 2009, with 25% growth in 2011 passenger numbers (Reuters, 04-Nov-2010). The carrier forecasts turnover of USD6 billion in 2010 up from USD5 billion in 2009. Turkish Airlines added that it would expand its fleet with new long-haul aircraft, from 20 to 40 in the "near future". Following recent deliveries, the carrier's fleet has increased 148 with this expected to increase to 200 in the next three years.
