Tiger Airways unfazed by Thai Tiger Airways delays

Tiger Airways President Tony Davis said denied the carrier was frustrated by the setbacks for the creation of Thai Tiger Airways (TTA), in particular requirements imposed by the Thai Transport Ministry on Thai Airways and confirmed Tiger Airways is prepared to extend the agreement for TTA, a 51:49 THAI-Tiger partnership (Bangkok Post, 01-Feb-2011). The Transport Ministry has required several modifications of the TTA plan, as THAI is a state-owned enterprise. Mr Davis expects expects TTA to commence operations "relatively quickly" after ministry approval was granted adding: "Operationally speaking, it is feasible to get TTA flying in the first quarter (of this year)."
