TAP Portugal announces new fare structure to compete with the LCC market

TAP Portugal announced (01-Sep-2016) an average reduction of its lowest fares by 34%, effective 01-Sep-2016, targeting to compete directly in the market of the lowest fares. The carrier’s pricing structure now offers four economy and two premium pricing options. The new fare structure intends in creating fares which are tailored to the needs of each customer. This change is part of the measures set out in TAP’s strategic plan, which includes, among others, the retrofit programme of its medium haul fleet, to improve aircraft cabin interiors and thus provide more comfort and a better travel experience to all customers.
