SpiceJet revenue up 40%, back in the black in 2QFY2011

SpiceJet revenue up 40% - financial highlights for the three months ended 30-Sep-2010:

  • Revenue*: USD141.8 million, +39.5% year-on-year;
  • Costs:
    • Fuel: USD58858.9 million, +24.3%;
    • Aircraft lease rentals: USD23.5 million, +6.1%;
    • Aircraft maintenance: USD16.3 million, -12.1%;
    • Labour: USD11.9 million, +27.0%;
  • Operating profit: USD312,413, compared with a loss of USD25.4 million in p-c-p;
  • Profit before tax: USD2.9 million, compared with a loss of USD23.0 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit: USD2.3 million, compared with a loss of USD22.9 million in p-c-p. [more]
