Southwest Airlines passenger numbers stable in Dec-2011; 110 million pax in FY2011

Southwest Airlines reports (09-Jan-2012) the following combined traffic highlights for Southwest Airlines and AirTran:

  • Dec-2011:
    • Revenue passenger numbers: 8.9 million, +0.4% year-on-year;
    • Enplaned passengers: 10.9 million, -0.3%;
    • Passenger load factor: 78.4%, -1.7 ppts;
  • 12 months ended Dec-2011:
    • Revenue passenger numbers: 110.1 million, +2.4%;
    • Enplaned passengers: 135.3 million, +3.3%;
