Some UK airports forced to delay flights due to snow

UK airports forced to delay flights over the weekend due to heavy snow falls included:

  • Cardiff Airport: announced (27-Nov-2010) it is open but some flights are delayed; [more]
  • Jersey Airport: announced all night stopping aircraft arrived on 28-Nov-2010 and all early morning departures on 29-Nov-2010 were expected to depart on time, subject to weather conditions; [more]
  • London Luton Airport: advised (28-Nov-2010) passengers some flights may be subject to delay and/or cancellation; [more]
  • Newcastle International Airport: announced (28-Nov-2010) it is now open and flights are arriving and departing. The airport was forced to close overnight on 25-Nov-2010 after a Thomson Fly B737-800 slid off the runway due to the icy conditions (AFP, 26-Nov-2010).
