Scotland Govt to put Prestwick Airport up for sale

Scotland's Government reported (13-Jun-2019) plans to invite expressions of interest for the sale of Glasgow Prestwick Airport through an advertisement in the Official Journal of the European Union. The facility will return to the private sector, after it was taken into public ownership in Nov-2013. Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity Michael Matheson added the airport's senior management team is engaging with potential buyers and investors, to discuss proposals for developing the business under new ownership. [more - original PR]
