Regional Express receives first of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft

Regional Express (Rex) received (05-Nov-2020) the first of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The aircraft will be used for training activities before a proving flight for CASA on 05-Dec-2020. The carrier will commence Melbourne-Sydney service from 01-Mar-2021. Deputy Chairman John Sharp stated: "We will inject up to 10 aircraft into the domestic market by the end of 2021", adding: "From there, we intend to develop a full domestic airline network, linking all the capital cities over time".
