Qatar Airways CEO does not deny Cargolux stake acquisition reports

Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker has reportedly hinted that an agreement involving Cargolux is imminent (Dow Jones Newswire/Bloomberg/Arabian Business, 19-Apr-2011). Media reports this week has suggested that Qatar Airways was interested in buying a 35% stake in the European cargo company. "You'll have to wait and see what happens. You will hear about it soon," Mr Al Baker said. Cargolux has announced plans to sell a 35% stake of the company to a strategic investor. "Several parties are interested and discussions are ongoing for the time being," a spokeswoman said, adding that Cargolux was seeking a long-term investor.
