Paris CDG and Orly operations 'heavily disrupted' by weather

France's Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports were forced to cancel and delay flights on 08-Dec-2010 due to heavy snow conditions (Associated Press, 08-Dec-2010/Bloomberg, 09-Dec-2010). CDG has now reopened one of its four runways after closing earlier in the day. Aeroports de Paris stated services were delayed by an hour-and-a-half at CDG and by two hours at Orly. The delays and cancellations were in addition to the cancellation of 20% of flights from the airports ordered by France's civil aviation authority (DCAG). Air France confirmed (08-Dec-2010) operations at the airports were highly disrupted. The carrier cancelled a number of flights as a result. [more]
