PAL Holdings loss widens in 2019

PAL Holdings reported (21-May-2020) the following financial highlights for the 12 months ended 31-Dec-2019:

  • Revenue: PHP154,537 million (USD2990 million), +2.7% year-on-year;
    • Passenger: PHP134,292 million (USD2590 million), +4.2%;
    • Cargo: PHP9375 million (USD181.1 million), -8.2%;
    • Ancillary: PHP10,699 million (USD206.7 million), -5.0%;
  • Costs: PHP151,664 million (USD2930 million), -3.1%;
    • Fuel: PHP48,077 million (USD928.7 million), -8.9%;
    • Repairs and maintenance: PHP20,037 million (USD387.0 million), +1.6%;
    • Labour: PHP14,991 million (USD289.6 million), +0.2%;
  • Profit before income tax (loss): (PHP11,200 million) (USD216.3 million), compared to a loss of PHP7430 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss): (PHP9703 million) (USD187.4 million), compared to a loss of PHP3708 million in p-c-p;
  • Total assets: PHP317,829 million (USD6140 million);
