OAG: Global capacity passes 50% of 2019 levels

OAG reported (03-Aug-2020) scheduled airline capacity for week 29 of 2020 was 60 million seats, an increase of 4% week on week. Capacity has now broken through 50% of 2019 levels, reaching 50.4%. OAG noted that there are markets where capacity is returning to 2019 levels and others where further growth remains out of reach pending lockdowns being eased, but demand continues to lag capacity, meaning the outlook "remains worrying".
