Netherlands approves KLM restructuring plan

Netherlands' Government agreed (03-Nov-2020) to a restructuring plan presented by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, making the carrier eligible for a EUR3.4 billion government loan negotiated in summer 2020. KLM's works council and the eight trade unions involved have agreed to a contribution through the terms of employment for the entire term of the loan package to enable KLM to reach a 15% reduction in costs in the coming years.
