Neos to deploy Boeing 787-9 from Milan Malpensa Airport from Dec-2017

Neos, on its official Twitter webpage, stated (10-May-2016) it will deploy its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft at its base in Milan Malpensa Airport from Dec-2017. Carrier GM Carlo Stradiotti said, "Today we are flying to destinations in the limit of the range of our Boeing 767. The new aircraft, coming respectively in December 2017, June and October 2018, will allow us to overcome these boundaries". Mr Stradiotti said, "Today for example we can not meet some parts of China, or the Pacific coast of Mexico. In South America we have the limit of Rio de Janeiro and we are forced to give up city like Santiago or Buenos Aires. In the Far East, I think of Indonesia, the Philippines and other potentially very interesting destinations. The new Boeing 787-9 will open new windows, even if the investment on new media is already justified on the current network" (travelquotidiano.com, 10-May-2016). According to the CAPA Fleet Database, the carrier currently has two 789 on order.
