Montenegro Airlines to reduce workforce, re-examine network following 2010 loss

Montenegro Airlines reportedly plans to reduce its workforce after reporting an increased EUR6 million loss in 2010 (BETA, 12-Apr-2011). Chairman Zoran Djurisic stated the number of employees at the carrier will be reduced from 450 to between 250 and 300. He also reportedly stated that the carrier expects the Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services Agency will write off EUR4 million owed by the company. The carrier also plans to review its existing and planned network.
