Lufthansa Group generate EUR524m operating profit in 2012

Lufthansa Group reported (19-Feb-2013) its operating profit fell 36.1% year-on-year to EUR524 million in 2012, despite a 4.9% increase in revenue to EUR30,100 million. Net profit rose to EUR990 million from a loss of EUR13 million in 2011, largely due to non-recurring effects from the sale of equity investments. The partial transfer of Austrian Airlines' flight operations to Tyrolean Airways had a one-time positive effect of EUR115 million on the operating result.
