Lübeck Airport changes ownership

Germany's Lübeck Airport stated (02-Jan-2013) the ownership of the airport officially changed on 01-Jan-2013 to the newly-founded Yasmina Lubeck Airport Management GmbH. German-Egyptian businessman Mohamed Rady Amar became the new owner of the airport after it was decided, on 29-Nov-2012, to sell the loss-making airport to Mr Amar, who bid alongside three other competing entities. Mr Amar is planning to expand the airport to international standard, with an investment of EUR20 million over the next five years, and is targeting profitability in 2018.
