London Gatwick Airport pax up 4%, movements down 4% for Mar-2012

UK's London Gatwick Airport passenger numbers up 4% - traffic highlights for Mar-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.5 million, +3.9% year-on-year;
    • UK and Channel Islands: 300,900, +4.6%;
    • Ireland: 108,100, +5.1%;
    • European scheduled: 1.3 million, +3.1%;
    • European charter: 241,200, +11.7%;
    • North Atlantic: 134,400, +10.4%;
    • Other long-haul: 419,700, -0.6%;
  • Cargo volume: 8539, +8.1%;
