KAC signs agreement to participate in South Korea UAM project for eVTOL vehicles
Korea Airports Corporation (KAC) confirmed (23-Feb-2021) it signed an agreement with Hanwha Systems Corporation, SK Telecom and Korea Transport Institute on 27-Jan-2021 to participate in South Korea's urban air mobility (UAM) project for the development and commercialisation of flying taxis by 2025. KAC will research the development of air traffic management systems for unmanned aerial vehicles and the development of 'vertiport' facilities at KAC airports for electric vertical take off and landing (eVTOL) passenger transport vehicles.
