JetLite losses widen in FY2012

JetLite revenue up 7% – financial highlights for 12 months ended 31-Mar-2012:

  • Total revenue: INR19,039 million (USD395.8 million), +6.6% year-on-year;
  • Total costs: INR21,884 million (USD455.0 million), +15.5%;
    • Fuel: INR11,457 million (USD238.2 million), +43.1%;
    • Labour: INR1751 million (USD36.4 million), +4.1%;
  • Profit (loss) before tax: (INR1846 million) (USD38.4 million), compared to a loss of INR1070 million (USD22.2 million) in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss) after tax: (INR1840 million) (USD38.3 million), compared to a loss of INR1075 million (USD22.4 million) in p-c-p;
  • Passenger numbers: 4.8 million, +10.7%;
  • Passenger load factor: 77.9%, -1.3 ppt;
  • Breakeven load factor: 90.7%, +6.4 ppts;
  • Yield: INR3.81 (USD 7.92 cents), +3.1%;
  • Cost per ASK: INR3.46 (USD 7.19 cents), +11.0%;
  • Cost per ASK excl fuel: INR1.50 (USD 3.12 cents), -10.2%;
  • Fleet: 19 aircraft, stable;
  • Total assets: INR7250 million (USD150.7 million), -28.2%;
