Jazeera Airways reports marketshare performance for Dec-2010

Jazeera Airways issued (23-Jan-2011) its operational performance report for Dec-2010, which showed it had a continued lead in market share over other Kuwaiti airlines on winter routes that were served in the month, based on data from Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA). The report does not include the Kuwait-Jeddah and Kuwait-Riyadh routes, where the airline has lower seat-allocation restrictions compared with other Kuwaiti airlines. Jazeera Airways had a 31% market share on the Kuwait-Beirut route, a 35% market share on the Kuwait-Amman route, a 47% market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route, a 47% market share on the Kuwait-Damascus route, and an 18% market share on the weekend destination Bahrain. The report also mentioned that the airline operated the month with an on-time performance of 94%. [more]
