Japanese carriers report 22.7% drop in international bookings for holidays

Japanese carriers reports international flight bookings fell 22.7% year-on-year during the year-end and new year period (Kyodo News, 17-Dec-2010). Flight bookings for Hawaii and Southeast Asia remain strong while bookings for China fell. Details include:

  • International bookings: -22.7% year-on-year;
  • Domestic bookings: -1.6%;
    • JAL: -20%;
    • ANA: +6.3%.
