  • San Diego: The San Diego service will be the first non-stop route linking San Diego with Japan and Asia, with JAL to initially serve the city with four times weekly frequency from Dec-2012, increasing to daily from Mar-2013. The service will be part of the trans-Pacific joint business agreement between JAL and oneworld alliance partner, American Airlines, which is scheduled to codeshare on this route;
  • Helsinki: With the Tokyo Narita-Helsinki route, JAL will open its first new service between Japan and Europe in 20 years.
