International Airlines Group pax up 4%, load also up in Mar-2013; premium traffic down 2%

International Airlines Group (IAG) reported (04-Apr-2013) the following traffic highlights:

  • Mar-2013:
    • Passenger numbers: 4.4 million, +3.5% year-on-year;
    • Passenger load factor: 79.7%, +0.9 ppt;
      • Domestic: 67.5%, -7.3 ppts;
      • Europe: 74.4%, +2.4 ppts;
      • North America: 84.6%, +2.8 ppts;
      • Latin America and Caribbean: 82.9%, -0.1 ppt;
      • Africa, Middle East and South Asia: 75.8%, +1.5 ppt;
      • Asia Pacific: 79.9%, -0.8 ppts;
  • Three months ended 31-Mar-2013:
    • Passenger numbers: 11.8 million, +3.4%;
      • Domestic: 2.3 million, stable;
      • Europe: 5.1 million, +8.2%;
      • North America: 1.7 million, -0.2%;
      • Latin America and Caribbean: 1.1 million, -8.1%;
      • Africa, Middle East and South Asia: 1.2 million, +7.4%;
      • Asia Pacific: 377,000, +6.2%;
    • Passenger load factor:
      • Domestic: 77.4%, +1.3 ppt;
      • Europe: 65.1%, -7.0 ppts;
      • North America: 78.7%, +2.9 ppts;
      • Latin America and Caribbean: 83.3%, -1.0 ppt;
