IndiGo to operate 20% of capacity upon international launch

IndiGo CEO Aditya Ghosh stated the carrier would operate around 20% of its capacity (seats) on its international network for its international foray (Business Standard, 02-Jun-2011). The carrier will make its international debut in Aug-2011 with a nine-aircraft fleet operating from Delhi and Mumbai to destinations in Southeast Asia and West Asia. The carrier is hoping to commence bookings for the service this month.
