IAG pax numbers up 8% in Aug-2012, premium traffic up 13%
International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (05-Sep-2012) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Aug-2012:
- Passenger numbers: 5.2 million, +7.7% year-on-year;
- Domestic (UK and Spain): 1.1 million, +26.6%;
- Europe: 2.2 million, +0.2%;
- North America: 840,000, +6.9%;
- Latin America and Caribbean: 415,000, -4.8%;
- Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 447,000, +25.6%;
- Asia Pacific: 142,000, +2.9%;
- Passenger load factor: 84.4%, -0.5 ppt;
- Domestic (UK and Spain): 77.8%, -0.9 ppt;
- Europe: 79.4%, -4.3 ppts;
- North America: 89.6%, +0.1 ppt;
- Latin America and Caribbean: 86.3%, +0.8 ppt;
- Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 80.8%, +1.7 ppts;
- Asia Pacific: 81.8%, -0.1 ppt;

IAG: "Group premium traffic for the month of August grew by 12.6% compared to the previous year, with 3.9% growth in non-premium traffic. Underlying market conditions remain unchanged from guidance given at Quarter two results. Trading conditions at our London hub remain firm.
