IAG pax numbers up 29% in Jun-2013 but cargo traffic down 9%, Group premium traffic up 2%

International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (03-Jul-2013) the following consolidated traffic* highlights:

  • Jun-2013:
    • Passenger numbers: 6.5 million, +29.4% year-on-year;
    • Passenger load factor: 84.7%, +0.7 ppt;
      • Domestic (UK & Spain): 79.4%, +2.4 ppts;
      • Europe: 80.5%, +1.6 ppts;
      • North America: 91.2%, +1.2 ppts;
      • Latin America and Caribbean: 84.4%, -1.3 ppts;
      • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 78.9%, -0.2 ppt;
      • Asia Pacific: 86.5%, +4.6 ppts;
    • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -8.7%;
  • 6 months ended Jun-2013:
    • Passenger numbers: 28.9 million, +12.2%;
      • Domestic (UK & Spain): 6.5 million, +17.1%;
      • Europe: 13.1 million, +21.2%;
      • North America: 4.1 million, +1.7%;
      • Latin America and Caribbean: 2.1 million, -10.9%;
      • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 2.3 million, +2.2%;
      • Asia Pacific: 784,000, +5.2%;
    • Passenger load factor: 79.4%, +0.6 ppt;
      • Domestic (UK & Spain): 71.7%, -2.3 ppts;
      • Europe: 75.3%, +2.9 ppts;
      • North America: 83.2%, +1.6 ppts;
      • Latin America and Caribbean: 82.4%, -1.6 ppts;
      • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 76%, +0.6 ppt;
      • Asia Pacific: 79.6%, +1.7 ppts;
