HKIA reaches new passenger record

Hong Kong International Airport conducted a commemoration ceremony on 25-Dec-2010 celebrating its 50 millionth passenger for the year to arrive at the airport (The Moodie Report, 30-Dec-2010). Cargo tonnage also set a new record, surpassing the 4 million tonne mark. 

Airport Authority Hong Kong: "In early 2011 we will unveil a midfield development project that will result in a new passenger concourse and 20 additional parking stands by 2015. Also, HKIA Master Plan 2030, which outlines the airport’s aviation demand and development needs over the next 20 years, will also be released for public consultation within the first half of next year.” Stanley Hui Hon-chung, CEO.
