Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to close main runway over winter 2020/2021

Finavia announced (22-Oct-2020) plans to close Helsinki-Vantaa Airport runway 1 for six months from 01-Nov-2020 to 30-Apr-2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The operator expects aircraft movements to decline by 75% year-on-year in winter 2020/2021, with around 100 to 150 daily movements.
