Gebrüder Weiss and Global Freight System create JV for China-Europe parcel transport

Gebrüder Weiss established (03-Dec-2020) a JV with Chinese logistics company Global Freight System named Gebrüder Weiss Express China, which will specialise in parcel transport between China and Europe. Gebrüder Weiss holds 65% of the shares in the JV, which is based in Shanghai. Gebrüder Weiss management board member Lothar Thoma commented: "The growing trend towards e-commerce means that the volume of parcel shipments between Asia and Europe is also steadily on the rise".
