France's Finance Minister reaffirms Groupe ADP divestment plan

France's Minister of the Economy and Finance Bruno le Maire, via his personal Twitter account, reaffirmed (13-Jun-2018) the government will work towards divestment of its stake of Groupe ADP as part of its plan for economic growth (PACTE) bill. Commenting on the government's plans for divestment of its stake of Groupe ADP, Mr le Maire said the sale would represent around EUR9 billion, with a concession contract spanning 70 years. On the conditions of sale contract, Mr le Maire stated the government would have the ability to revise airport charges every five years and would be able to impose strategic investments which the concessionaire would be forced to make. "All activities of national sovereignty", including border controls and customs activities, "will remain in the hands of the state", Mr le Maire concluded. The government is expected to present the PACTE bill on 18-Jun-2018, as previously reported by CAPA.
