FNV unions agree to conditions of KLM restructuring plan

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced (02-Nov-2020) FNV Cabine and FNV Luchtvaart ground handling union signed the airlines' wage freeze commitment clause in its restructuring plan submitted to the Dutch government to eligible for a EUR3.4 billion government loan. KLM stated that the VNV pilots union has not yet signed the clause. As previously reported by CAPA, a commitment clause has been established in which all unions must commit labour conditions contribution with all KLM employees in accordance with the requirement of the Ministry of Finance. All KLM employees must make a labour contribution during the term of the loan, which is expected to run until 2025. [more - original PR - Dutch]
