Flughafen Wien Group EBITDA up 10% in first nine months of 2011

Austria's Flughafen Wien Group revenue up 9% - financial highlights for nine months ended 30-Sep-2011:

  • Revenue: EUR435.3 million, +9.4% year-on-year;
    • Airport: EUR221.6 million, +11.2%;
    • Handling: EUR119.4 million, +1.8%;
    • Retail and properties: EUR82.4 million, +17.7%;
  • EBITDA: EUR158.2 million, +9.5%;
    • Airport: EUR99.1 million, +8.4%;
    • Handling: EUR9.8 million, -46.4%;
    • Retail and properties: EUR57.5 million, +32.2%;
  • Net profit: EUR20.2 million, -72.0%;
  • Capital expenditure: EUR179.3 million, +10.76%;
  • Passenger numbers: 16.0 million, +7.5%;
  • Cargo volume: 207,460 tonnes, -4.5%;
  • Aircraft movements: 186,242, +0.4%;
  • Total assets: EUR2118 million, +6.0% when compared to period ended 31-Dec-2010;
  • Cash and cash equivalents: EUR150.5 million, +136.5% when compared to period ended 31-Dec-2010;

Flughafen Wien Group: "Data for October points to growth in all traffic segments, with a year-on-year increase of 4.7% in passenger traffic during that month. Flight movements declined by 0.7%. Passenger traffic (scheduled and charter flights) to Eastern Europe rose by 17.0%, but traffic to the Middle East declined by 1.7%. Cargo turnover (air cargo and trucking) declined 8.6% to 24,404 tonnes.
