Finnair to introduce fully-flat business class seating on long-haul fleet

Finnair announced (13-Feb-2013) plans to introduce fully-flat business class seating designed by Zodiac Seating on its long-haul fleet including on its A330 and A340 aircraft. Three older aircraft will not be refitted as they are due to be replaced by A350 XWB aircraft in 2015. The roll-out of the new product will see the airline invest EUR29 million with it scheduled to be completed by autumn 2014. Finnair commissioned Finnish design house Marimekko to refresh its aircraft interiors from spring 2013 and is improving its in-flight catering. The airline plans to commence delivery of 11 A350 XWB aircraft in 2H2015. [more - original PR]
