European airports report delays and cancellations due to snow

European airports continued to report delays due to weather conditions in the region on 29-Nov-2010:

  • Aberdeen Airport: closed for four hours in the afternoon on 29-Nov-2010 to clear runway (Bloomberg, 30-Nov-2010);
  • Edinburgh Airport: partially reopened on the afternoon of 29-Nov-2010 (AFP, 30-Nov-2010);
  • EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg: resumed operations on 29-Nov-2010 after an earlier closure for snow clearance [more]
  • Glasgow Airport: partially open after an earlier closure;
  • London Gatwick Airport: advised passengers to contact airlines before arriving at the airport (BBC News, 29-Nov-2010). It stated it has spent GBP300,000 on anti-icing and snow-clearing vehicles;
  • London Luton Airport: advised (29-Nov-2010) passengers that some flights may be delayed or cancelled on the evening of 29-Nov-2010 and/or morning of 30-Nov-2010; [more]
