Emirates to commence Dubai-Boston service in Mar-2014

Emirates announced (19-Sep-2013) plans to commence daily Dubai-Boston service with three-class, 266-seat Boeing 777-200LR equipment, effective 10-Mar-2014 - see Route Changes Table for more information. Emirates will codeshare with JetBlue on the route. The service falls under Massport's international air service incentive programme, which includes landing fee credits and joint advertising opportunities. Massport said the most popular destinations from Boston served by Emirates through Dubai are Bangalore, Bangkok, Chennai, Delhi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nairobi and Singapore. The route will be the airline's eighth to the US, its ninth to North America and its 12th to the Americas overall. Emirates chairman and CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said, "Based on passenger demand, we believe the time is right to further boost our US operations, while stimulating channels of trade and tourism to and from the state of Massachusetts and the wider New England region."
