Emirates commences Dubai-Tokyo Haneda service

Emirates commenced (03-Jun-2013) daily Dubai-Tokyo Haneda service with three-class, 266-seat Boeing 777-200LR equipment, effective 03-Jun-2013 - see Route Changes Table for more information. The service increases the airline's cargo capacity to Japan by 160 tonnes per week. Emirates codeshares with Japan Airlines on the route. Emirates EVP passenger sales worldwide Thierry Antinori said, "We know that Haneda will play an integral role in our route network and the launch of services demonstrates Emirates' commitment to Japan... Haneda is our third gateway in Japan and we are confident that the demand in terms of both passengers and cargo is strong enough to warrant Emirates operating nonstop, daily flights to both of Tokyo's airports." Emirates also operates daily Dubai-Tokyo Narita service with 777-300ER equipment, according to Innovata. [more - original PR]
