Dublin Airport surpasses 30m pax on 12 month rolling average in May-2018
Dublin Airport MD Vincent Harrison, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit, announced (17-May-2018) as of early May-2018, Dublin Airport has surpassed 30 million passengers handled on a 12 month rolling average. Mr Harrison stated in Dublin's current runway system, the facility is "close to capacity". Mr Harrison looks forward to the opening of the new north parallel runway in 2021, noting Dublin is one of the few airports in Europe currently building a new runway. Dublin Airport is "investing for the future and the good for the Irish economy", Mr Harrison concluded, with the runway being in masterplan and local authority plans since the 1960s.
