Delta expands operations in Africa

Delta Air Lines stated in five years, it increased its destinations in Africa from one to seven (myjoyonline, 15-Dec-2010). Managing Director, Network Planning Jeff Lobl said the carrier decided that "Africa was a growing important market and we wanted to be the first US carrier to establish a presence there … a deep and sustainable presence". Delta will re-introduce an A330 aircraft on its Accra-Atlanta route and is also revamping its fleet with flatbed seating.
