Delta Air Lines: “real” airfares are 40% lower than at time of deregulation

Delta Air Lines announced its "real" airfares are about 40% lower than they were at the time of deregulation (Bloomberg, 24-Mar-2011). Delta CEO Richard Anderson also stated he sees some weakness in Transatlantic operations while the US domestic market is "pretty strong".
