Delta Air Lines expects unit revenues for 2Q2011 to increase 10%

Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson expects unit revenues for 2Q2011 will increase 10% and expects to have a "very solidly profitable quarter" (businesstravelnews, 06-Jul-2011).

Delta Airlines: "We also see where the weaknesses are going forward, which is principally in the trans-Atlantic. Our overall capacity will be down year on year about 3.6%, September through December. We do think overall GDP growth in the US is going to be in the 2% range, and given the correlation between our revenues and GDP, we feel pretty confident about strong trends continuing in the latter part of the year."
