Congo Airways orders two E195-E2s for regional expansion

Congo Airways placed (13-Jan-2021) a firm order for two Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, in addition to its existing order for two E190-E2s. The agreement for the four aircraft has a total value of USD272 million at current list prices. Congo Airways' E195-E2s are scheduled for delivery from 2022 and will be configured with 12 business class and 108 economy class seats. Congo Airways CEO Desire Bantu stated: "We see an opportunity in our market and the crisis we are all facing for Congo Airways to emerge stronger - which is why we are not waiting to place this further order.
