City of Milan approves stake sale of SEA, operator of Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate airports

Italy's City of Milan has agreed to launch process for the sale of a stake in SEA, the operator of Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate airports as part of efforts to reduce public debt (Infrastructure Journal Online, 17-Nov-2011). A resolution approved by the council earlier this week allows two possible options: either the sale of a 20% stake in SEA and all 18.6% of its stake in the Milano Serravalle-Milano Tangenziali toll road company, or the sale of 29.75% of SEA only. Both options have a starting price of EUR385 million, the council said.
