Christoph Mueller: Incremental revenue marketing 'resonates very well' with Asian consumers

Swissport incoming chairperson Christoph Mueller, speaking at CAPA Live January 2021, said (13-Jan-2021) marketing to generate incremental revenue "resonates very well" with the consumer public in Asia, as the "younger generations in those countries are so extremely digitally savvy". He said this may only partly be transferable to other countries and may have a "very long lead time" in other regions. Mr Mueller noted he is pleased that airlines "obviously are not stopping to invest in their digital maturity" during COVID-19, and are using down time during the pandemic to restructure their digital processes and supporting technology.
