Chinese airlines to operate 64,866 domestic services in summer 2017

CAAC stated (24-Mar-2017) Chinese airlines will operate 64,866 domestic services during the summer 2017 schedule, a 9.7% year-on-year increase. Airlines will operate 62,965 passenger services, up 9.3%, and 1901 cargo services, up 24.8%. In the regional market, there will be 1899 weekly services between 22 Chinese cities and Hong Kong, 474 services between 22 Chinese cities and Macau and 1312 services between 55 Chinese cities and four Taiwanese destinations. In the international market, 29 Chinese airlines will operate 10,236 weekly services to 163 cities covering 58 countries. 138 foreign airlines from 60 countries will operate 7428 weekly services connecting 135 foreign cities with 52 Chinese cities.
