China Southern to offer 'Canton Route' Australia-Europe operations with Guangzhou-London Heathrow

China Southern Airlines confirmed (16-Jan-2012) plans to launch three times weekly Guangzhou-London Heathrow service in Jun-2012, with the sector designed to connect to the carrier's double-daily Sydney-Guangzhou service, providing fresh competition on the 'Kangaroo Route' from Australia to Europe. The carrier will also increase Guangzhou-Paris CDG and Guangzhou-Amsterdam frequency, as part of plans to "make Guangzhou an ideal transfer hub between Australia and Europe".
