Cathay Pacific Cargo outlines impact of restructuring, freighter operations unaffected
Cathay Pacific Cargo announced (21-Oct-2020) it will continue to operate as scheduled and freighter operations remain fully intact under the Cathay Pacific Group corporate restructuring. However, with the closure of the Cathay Dragon brand, cargo only services using passenger aircraft to exclusive Cathay Dragon destinations will cease with immediate effect. The carrier stated: "This will have a limited impact on our current cargo network coverage in the short term". Affected destinations comprise Fukuoka, Fuzhou, Guangzhou and Kuala Lumpur. Cathay Dragon destinations served by Cathay Pacific Cargo on an ad hoc basis will also be affected. The carrier will continue operating freighters to Chengdu, Hanoi and Xiamen but will not be able to operate Cathay Dragon passenger aircraft to these destinations in the near term.
