BITRE reports Australian traffic up 8.3% in Jul-2010

Australia’s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (16-Sep-2010) the following traffic highlights for Australian domestic airlines in Jul-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.72 million, +8.3%;
  • Load factor: 80.3%, -0.4 ppt;
  • Top 10 domestic pairs:
    • Melbourne-Sydney: 665,900, +13.2%;
    • Brisbane-Sydney: 387,200, +6.0%;
    • Brisbane-Melbourne: 296,900, +16.4%;
    • Gold Coast-Sydney: 207,200, +15.7%;
    • Adelaide-Melbourne: 198,800, +11.6%;
    • Gold Coast-Melbourne: 158,700, +21.2%;
    • Adelaide-Sydney: 151,500, +15.7%;
    • Melbourne-Perth: 148,700, +0.1%;
    • Perth-Sydney: 136,100, +12.1%;
    • Brisbane –Cairns: 112,900, +2.9%. [more]
