China's Baicheng Airport project feasibility study report received (27-Nov-2013) National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) approval on 20-Nov-2013. According to the project, the airport will be developed as a category 4C airport with one 2500m runway, 3600sqm terminal building with 13 parking bays. With an investment of CNY607 million (USD94.8 million), including CNY141 million (USD22.0 million) from the NDRC and CNY193 million (USD30.2 million) from the Civil Aviation Development Fund, the airport will have capacity to handle 200,000 passengers and 700 tonnes of cargo p/a by 2020.
